Family photos can seem intimidating and I totally get it. You want someone to capture your family just as you are, but you’re nervous about how the kids will behave, what you look like and many other things. Don’t worry, I’ve got you.

What I’ve learned over the last decade of photographing families, plus having my own kids, is that the beauty and importance of family photos are that they capture exactly where you and your family are at, at that point in time. The mess, chaos, beauty and love in it all. You don’t need to look or be perfect (and who is?!) at all. 

Ways that I can help make your family session go smoothly and be lots of fun:

1. I’ll introduce myself to your family from the moment we meet. No camera in their face, just me having a chat and explaining what we’ll be doing today. 
2. I won’t force your kids to look at the camera. I know that some ND kiddos struggle with eye contact and looking at the camera. Totally OK. I’ll photograph them doing their thing and interacting with you how they want to. There’s so much beauty and warmth in this and I love it. 
3. I won’t force you to wear something that feels uncomfortable for you. Wear what you love and what makes you feel your best. 
4. You have beloved fur babies that you want to bring? Absolutely! I love including animals. And if you only have fur babies, let’s take some photos! 
5.  If you would prefer for me to come to your house for your session I absolutely can. Sometimes home is the most comfortable for all of you and I adore in-home sessions. 
6. If you would prefer for me to recommend some beautiful locations that are secure and entertaining for your kids, I can absolutely do this as well. 
7. Have an event like a graduation or Christening that you want captured? I absolutely can do that as well. 

The most important thing for me is that you feel beautiful, have fun interacting with your family and come away with photos that capture the time of life that you’re in that you’ll look back on in years to come and cherish. 

Whether you have are pregnant, have a newborn, toddlers, tweens, teenagers, adult kids or even fur babies – I’m your gal. I love photographing all families no matter who they are or what they look like. 

Family portrait sessions start from $650 for up to an hour. Mini sessions also available at certain times throughout the year.
